Biscuits & Groovy

One Sunday after church, Jon and I ventured to Biscuits & Groovy, a tiny little breakfast food trailer just North of downtown Austin. We have been wanting to hit up the Austin Foodtrailers (if you aren't familiar with food trailers you are probably thinking we are white trash but check em out here).

So here we are, middle of the day, 12:30pm, outside in July in Texas. It was miserable. After waiting in line to order and practically sweating through each piece of our clothing, we decided to take our food to go. We sat at a shaded picnic table for a few minutes before my dear husband looked like he had just stepped out of the shower. I let him wait in the car while I waited for our food. 30 minutes and 6 heatstrokes later, our food was ready...

Jon and I love going halvesies when going out to eat so we decided on The Philly Nelson and a burrito stuffed with eggs, sausage, cheese, black beans and salsa. The Philly Nelson was...

"Biscuits smothered in your choice of gravy with Philly cheesesteak meat, bacon, sausage, bell peppers, onions, cheese and chives"

We were pretty impressed with the food which partly made up for the trauma I was put through waiting on it. Was it worth it? Eh. Will we go back? Jon claims my biscuits and gravy take the show but these were pretty delish. If we go back, it will be in the dead of winter for sure!

Have you ever been to a food trailer?? What did you think?

Holy yum! Middle of winter in Austin?? So just one heatstroke and two articles of clothing sweat through, right! I don't know how you do it!
