Guest Post: Mrs. T, Naturally

I am so excited to show off one of my best bloggy friends, Mrs. T, today! She and I quickly became close and I not only consider her a bloggy friend but a true, real life friend and sister. Late night skype dates, texts & twitter, and even some sex talk (our motto is "we are married! we are allowed!), I love her heart!

Today I am feeling so honored to be Ruthie’s guest. She has become such a great friend to me since we met in Blogland just 4 months ago! Isn’t she just the sweetest girl?
I suppose that I should start by introducing myself…

Hello! My name is Kristen and I write Mrs. T, Naturally.
I write about my life as a wife, mother, believer, health nut, and vegan. Oh, I also like to write up articles on topics such as sex, drugs, and holistic health. :)
I am a happy person, and I like to write about things from a positive outlook whenever possible, while still being honest. I am so happy to be writing this for Ruthie. She has become such a great friend to me since we met here in Blogland just 4 months ago!

Although, there are some issues that need to be discussed
I believe that we live in a fallen world, and there is a war raging against good and evil.

Covering your eyes and ears and burying your head in the sand  is not going to do you, or anybody any good. In fact, you are making it extremely easy for the evils of the world.
What is one way that we can fight back?

It is so important that we keep ourselves educated on what is going on in the world, what we are eating, what our children are learning in school, who our government really is, and the kind of water we are drinking, just to name a few.
Watching the nightly news is not educating yourself on these issues.

They only tell you what they want you to know. With everything revolving around money, with advertisers to please, with oversight from the government… don’t even think for a second that they tell you the real truth on issues.

“When they own the information, they can bend it all they want.”
– Waiting on the World to Change by John Mayer

For the sake of this country, for your child's health, for your safety, for the coming generations… don’t allow yourself to become ignorant.

We need to be open about topics that are  ‘uncomfortable.’
While hiking in Israel, the tour guide said, “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

Chances are, if you are feeling comfortable most of the time, you aren’t allowing yourself to open up to something you haven’t thought about before. You aren’t partaking in conversations that you should be. The Devil wants us to feel comfortable. The kind of comfortable where we think it’s okay to bury our heads in the sand. It’s okay to fill our minds with junk. It’s better not to discuss controversial issues in case of offending someone. Don’t leave room for him to get the better of you, and close your mind off.

The world is a mess, so it’s clear we have to think and act in a way that is different. Obviously, what we have been doing, is not working.

Learn. Teach. Be teachable. Open your mind and look around you. Teach your children what you’ve learned. Don’t hold back!

If not you, then who will? Who will be the voice for the issues that need to be discussed? YOU are the perfect candidate. YOU are fully capable. YOU can make a change.

So, let’s do it! Let’s start talking unashamedly! Let’s start feeling uncomfortable!

Let’s fight back!
