Time to be thankful

I love the month of November because everyone jumps on the thankful bandwagon. It's one of the few good bandwagons to jump on. I try to spend time EVERY month, not just November, counting my blessings and thanking God for the many gifts. Yes I am thankful for my husband who rocks, my family who is so close and supportive, God's grace that I did NOTHING to deserve, but there is so much more. Sometimes (okay all of the time) I take for granted so many of the little things that I feel are a right to me, rather than a privilege.

1. My job- I love my job, my coworkers, my surroundings at work and I realize that's not always the case. It's absolutely normal for our team to drink a beer on Fridays, spend an afternoon seeing Skyfall, and take breaks playing pool. I've been with my company for two years and actually enjoy waking up and going to work. I am so grateful for this

2. Modern technology- an iPhone or smartphone is something that I bet 75% of America has and I don't know it any other way than to have email, texting, and a million apps at my fingertips. I am also thankful for cable, DVR, and Netflix. I am not a TV junkie by any means but I am so used to coming home from work, turning on Ellen and doing my thing.
3. Food-may sound silly but food is my spice of life. It is more than utility for us, we eat for experience (in moderation of course). I am thankful that on Thursday evening my family will have not only a turkey, but a ham, desserts and all the fixings, I am thankful that I can go to the grocery store and Costco each week and buy the foods I want, and I am thankful for restaurants for again...yummy food and the experience. It's a joke in my family that we talk about what's for dinner at breakfast. Food is fun! And we are thankful for it!

I could go on and on about the random things I am thankful for (heat in the winter, AC in the summer, Old navy skinnies, Hobby lobby crafts, World Market everything, healthcare, the sunshine in the winter, pools to swim in, hugs, friendly faces at church, reconnecting with old friends, babies, inside jokes, beautiful views in Austin, vacations, cars to drive, fun holiday decorations). Today I have my sponsors telling me what 3 things they are thankful for!

What are you thankful for?
