So there are two Christmases that stick out to me. One is probably one of my very first memories when we lived up in Illinois. I am guessing my big sister, Cori, and I were begging for a cat but Christmas Eve, Santa rang our doorbell and dropped off the most beautiful black and white kitten on our doorstep. Holly Sparkle Brightstar. Unfortunately Holly went to go live at a farm (ha!) when we moved to Texas but I remember thinking how cool is it that Santa dropped her off the night before! My second memory is waking up one Christmas morning to a trampoline in our backyard. Oh how many memories were made on that thing with neighbor girls in princess costumes and pretend makeup. Looking back at my childhood and how incredibly happy and special certain things made me feel and comparing them to today's standards is just insane. That $150 trampoline (for us 3 girls) made us more happy and excited than any iPad could have ever done! Now I am sure I will be eating my words in a few years when my own children will ask for cell phones and iPads but the simplicity of my own childhood Christmases gives me great nostalgia.
Today I asked my sponsors their favorite Christmas gifts to share with you (and if I had to add a 3rd favorite, it would match Jen's!)

I literally just went and got my hubby a datevitation for Christmas because of this post. Super cool idea!!!
love this post, I think my favorite Christmas present was actually just last year - instead of doing gifts for our anniversary or Christmas my husband and I went on our first trip by ourselves (besides our honeymoon) since being married to Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC for New Years, it was absolutely amazing.
Thanks for this super cute post! I really enjoyed reading what you and other bloggers' best Christmas gifts! :) Hope all is well!

Okay, so we have the same childhood. My sister and I slept together on Christmas Eve every year until I got married too. And we leave notes for Santa and he writes us back... a couple years ago my mom compiled all of our letters to Santa through the years in a scrapbook and gave it to us. They are hilarious!!!
Absolutely love the datevitation idea! So cute! I think I want to do that for M!
