Pink or Blue
Today is the day! This afternoon, at 2:45pm, Jon and I will find out if we are having a boy or girl. Some people don't agree with finding out the gender because it is the "only surprise in life" but we are absolutely thrilled to get to know our son or daughter for the next couple of months before he/she arrives! And from what I hear...every single day of parenthood is a surprise :-). We laugh when people ask us what we want "boy or girl?" because guess what? We can't choose! Neither of us have any preference because we know it is all a part of God's great plan for us. Jon still thinks it's a boy and I have been having mixed dreams. We are 100% set on a girl name so it'll be fun if we get to start calling our baby by her name! But boy name...we are a little stuck.
Unfortunately you will have to wait until next weekend to find out it baby Hart is a little mister or little lady because we are having a gender reveal party on Friday night with our family. You can text me, tweet me, and beg me all you want... but we aren't budging! Be on the lookout Saturday morning!!

so excited for you and Jon! My husband and I just called everyone immediately because we couldn't keep a secret when we found out Sawyer was a boy haha, but I would love the suspense of not knowing (and yes probably hate it a little too haha).

I don't get when people say that either....it's a surprise either way! Either your surprised at the ultrasound or surprised at birth! During my third pregnancy to find out the gender I had a double surprise...I also found out I was having twins. Enjoy your the ultrasound!

How will you be able to keep your lips sealed for 5 days?? That's so long to keep that secret from family!
I can't wait to hear names :) My sister in law is due the same time you are. And they are the same way, set on a girl name and not sure if it's a boy. I think she's having a girl based on how she's carrying. Usually I don't have a clue or a guess. But for some reason, she definitely screams girl to me!

How did you get so lucky to find out at 16 weeks? My doctor wouldn't even schedule that ultrasound for me until the 20 week mark. :)

So excited for you! I remember when we found out we were having a GIRL. The both of us thought we were expecting a boy. I can't wait to hear about it this next week!
It's so wonderful to call your baby "he" or "she" or the actual name, instead of "it"! And nothing can be more surprising than seeing that precious face/fingers/toes and feeling her/him in your arms at the birth!

We were the same way with picking names! Our girl name came somewhat easy, but the boy name took a while, and going through thousands of names! Now I just hope that when baby gets here the names feel 'right' because it was hard enough deciding on the ONE we loved!

Can't wait to hear! We found out too. I have no patience so we actually went for a 3d ultrasound at 15 weeks. The soonest I could find out. I was set on having a girl because there's a girls in my fam.. But we had a boy. Honestly, now I know more than ever that God truly knows your heart and what you NEED. Now I want all boys and can't imagine not having a son. He was made to perfectly fit in our lives.

I've never understood the whole "wait for the big surprise!" thing. I mean, no matter when you find out, it's a surprise. I get that waiting probably amplifies the feeling by a million, but when the time comes, I definitely will want to know. I think it will help it seem more real to me. Good luck at the reveal party!

Such cute finds for gender reveal parties. I'm loving how that first cake has an H on it already for you guys. Personally, I'd like to cast my boy vote!
