Date niiiiiiiiight

Now that Ford is on the brink of becoming a toddler, he is a maniac. Gone are the days where he could hang out in the swing or bouncer and Jon and I relax and catch up on shows or watch a movie. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this stage and it has been so neat to watch Ford really play with his toys and learn and grow into a little boy...but it is rather exhausting. Last week Jon laughed one morning and told me I was snoring by 8pm. Chasing a baby around all day is quite the tiring job (and a great workout if your baby is a beefcake like mine). We love our time as a family of 3 but I am also realizing how important it is for Jon and I to get alone time. No nose wiping, no playing peek a boo, no baby chasing. Just the two of us being intentional with our marriage and enjoying each other's company.

Date nights are so essential!!! Calvin is now almost two and they become more active everyday. I agree with you on how fun it is to watch them grow but eventually you get tired of talking about trains, tractors, and dogs all day and need to be able to put on the wife hat and be romanced by your husband. Glad to know you and Jon see this importance and are sharing it. Ford gets cuter everyday, he looks like a very happy baby.
