About

I am a 29 year old Christian wife and mama living in the greatest city on earth...Austin, TX. I married the love of my life, Jon, on February 5th, 2011 and we have 3 beautiful children who we are coined the #hartlittles on social media. Ford Nehemiah was born August 11th, 2013, Lucy Joy April 27th, 2015, and Gideon Aaron November 7th, 2016. God took us on the wildest ride to our son Gideon Aaron through domestic adoption (a 4 month long failed match with a baby girl and 4 days later receiving the news that our son, Gideon was born the night before). You can view the video diary we made about the journey to Gideon here and the story behind his name here. We also have a 4 legged fur baby, Ernie the Frenchie who drives me insane but I love him to pieces. I am a stay at home mom who has a heart for ministering to new moms and have a love for crafting, design, embroidery, and cooking (follow my shop Instagram @ruthiemonograms). Most importantly, my husband and I are servants of the Lord. We believe in the bible and our marriage and lifestyle is built on the love and teachings of Jesus Christ. I pray that my identity in Christ shines and that by reading my blog, you can feel encouraged, hopeful, and treasured.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
- Psalm 73:26

Some fun facts about us...

Many people say I look like Kristin Chenoweth...a younger, brunette version.
Jon is almost 6 years older than me...cradle robber.
We were on an episode of House Hunters July 20th, 2012.
Jon went to Baylor, I went to Texas A&M...Sic Em/Gig Em.
My husband was the one who encouraged me to start blogging
We are addicted to the show Impractical Jokers and play board games almost every night.
I started a moms group in Austin called Ladies with Babies that has grown to almost 10,000 women,
We attend The Austin Stone Community Church and are Missional Community leaders.
We love Jesus more than we love each other.

Also visiting from #commenthour....your setup is very professional looking, well done! My eyes were immediately drawn to your book worm post. I am obsessed with books and am (slowly) working on my own book. I agree about not paying full price for either. I get a ton at garage and rummage sales. But I also tend to keep my books so I don't use the library as much as I should. :) Oh and if you haven't done so give the Twilight series a try...but make sure you have a lot of free time coming up! :)

Hi Ruthie. I was curious, did you design your blog or did you have it custom designed? I ask because I love it. I have a blog as well, I just started it and I'm trying to make it...beyond awesome. I wanted to know if you recommended any websites or had any other ideas on making and fun, cool, eye catching, make you want to read blog page design. My email is psncues@gmail.com and my blog is thesesweetpeas.blogspot.com.
Thanks for any ideas and thought.

Hi Ruthie,

My husband and I saw your episode of house hunters which led me to your blog. I love your dining room. Jon did a great job on the chevron wall. I recently bought a salvaged wood dining table and would love to know where you got your chairs. I really like the combination of yellow and grey together.

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Ruthie! Love your blog, your love of life and God! In your post of 9/21/12 you mentioned an issue with the new blogspot not allowing uploading of several pictures. I am having the same problem on my blog http:/knittingoncloudix.blogspot.com and was wondering what you did on your site to resolve this.

Normally, if I'm taking time for a post I certainly want more than 1 pic! Thank you and Happy Blogging! Dawn

I saw you on House Hunters last night & just looked up your blog. I thought it was cool that we have a few similarities. Although we are 40 something'ers', my husband is 5 years older than me (we joke that he's a cradle robber also). He grows a beard every Thanksgiving till New Years. We live in Lubbock (both went to Texas Tech), but Kevin was born in Austin & grew up in S.A. Our 2nd son is named Austin.
I believe I will continue following & (enjoying) your blog. I bet y'all will have some cute kiddos someday! Julie

Hi! My husband and I are just watching House Hunters and were interested in looking up your blog. I have recently started blogging myself, so I love reading other people's blogs. I have enjoyed what I've read so far!
Anyway, hope you found your dream home. :)

Hi. Saw you blog via house hunters. I just have to ask about your love of Jesus more than your husband---and presumably more than your son-to-be. Are you so certain this is a good idea? I have a son, and I was once a devoted Christian too. But one day I discovered that my church (and your church) hadn't been fully honest with me. Among other things, I read "Misquoting Jesus" by Bart Ehrman. I learned that the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are actually anonymous works---not eyewitness accounts as my church and bible publisher claimed (in contradiction to the evidence). Once you you realize this one fact, you start to look further, and then the whole story starts to unravel...

After being in relationship with Wilson for seven years,he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to someone online and she suggested that I should contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that don’t believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I meant a spell caster called Dr Zuma zuk and I email him, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened, that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him, that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem and who is different from all the fake ones out there. Anybody could need the help of the spell caster, his email: spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com or WhatsApp him +15068001647 blog: spiritualherbal.blogspot.com you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or anything. Life has not been easy with me after my marriage was broken when my husband filled for a divorced but I thank God for using LORD ZAKUZA who's like a God on Earth to get my broken marriage restored with his powerful spell. I suffered for depression for 6 months but today, I am so happy for getting to know LORD ZAKUZA for his spell has really made me to believe that of a truth spells are real and they work. I adhered to every bit of instructions given to me by LORD ZAKUZA for he promised me that he will make me happy and proud and really, all that happened and my husband came back to me with his knees on the ground begging me for forgiveness within 48 hours after I got in touch with him and now we are perfectly bonded again for life. I can boldly say to everyone out there that LORD ZAKUZA spells is really the best and most powerful. I'm forever grateful to him till the end of time. A week ago, I mistakenly sent Bitcoins to the wrong wallet address and I thought I had lost it all but WARDRIVERS CYBER was able to recover my Bitcoins in a matter of hours.
At first, I have always thought it was impossible to trace and retrieve bitcoins once it is released but after my encounter with WARDRIVERS CYBER, I can boldly confirm that Bitcoins and any cryptocurrencies can be traced and fully recovered only with the right information.
I’m thankful for the service of WARDRIVERS CYBER and for helping me recover my Bitcoins. I highly recommend their services to everyone out there who needs to recover their Bitcoins or have access to their wallets.
