36 weeks

Thoughts: we are officially 9 months pregnant! Deep breath Ruthie. I posted yesterday how I've been a tad emotional the past few days out of pure joy and excitement for what's to come. November seems so long ago finding out we were pregnant, yet I feel like it's flown by. I've started wondering whether this will be the last time I drive to work, go to the grocery store, sleep in next to my husband. The unknown is precious, nerve wracking and oh so exciting. Physically we are ready... emotionally... will we ever be ready? I can't believe I will be holding my son in less than a month!

Doctor appointment: we had our 36w appointment yesterday and it went great! I am not dilated or effaced but my cervix is soft. I was so excited to hear that my pelvis is nice and wide and my tailbone pretty far back which means a low chance of needing a C section... yay! Doctor doesn't think I will make any progress until 38 weeks and we should expect baby right on time. We go every Monday until he is born.

Baby: We saw our big guy in what may be our last sonogram and again he had his hands in front of his face. Since he is so big, it's hard to make out his face but we saw his cute little cheeks! He measured 6lbs 6oz but since they overestimate, they assume he is about 6lbs. If we keep him until our due date, they expect he'll be high 7s or low 8s...perfect!

Weight: 29lbs exactly

Symptoms: lots of Braxton Hicks contractions and they are getting painful. Sunday night I had 2 within 20 minutes of each other then woke up at night with one but nothing worth calling the doctor for. My back aches from carrying my big belly and I am peeing at least once an hour.

Movement: he is calm and quiet as I type this but I know that will be short lived. Pretty much 90% of the day he is moving like crazy and he is so big that poor guy is getting squished and probably uncomfortable. I can see when he pushes his butt or a knee or foot and it isn't always the best feeling.

Cravings/aversions/eating: I feel hungry often but get full quickly. Lots of fruit, peanut butter and jelly (I miss my full sugar jelly!), and red meat. Over the holiday weekend I hate 3 burgers in a 24 hour timeframe. Last week I cooked a bunch of meals to freeze so we'll be stocked up when he gets here. I am ready for sugar people!

Workouts: my pure existence is a workout! I woke up sore after dancing 1.5 songs at a wedding this weekend and walking up and down the stairs definitely gets me winded. Trying to do walks a couple times a week. I am excited to get back to Zumba in a few months, I realized how much I miss it!

Sleep: getting up about 3 times to pee and having to move from one side to the other multiple times throughout the night yet I still feel rested when I wake up. Jon is sleeping really well these days :)

Clothes: maternity is getting TIGHT! I have one maxi dress that I've been wearing a lot because it is still loose on my belly. My maternity shirts are getting tight and short so I've been sticking to maternity tanks and Jon's boxers around the house.

Random: we finished the nursery! Can't wait to show you the finished product. The bassinet and pack and play are set up in our room, diapers are stacked, swaddles are washed, and we are ready to rock. This weekend we have a few random things to get done around the house and plan on doing a deep clean so we don't have chores to do when we are full term (37 weeks).

Surprisingly my wedding rings still fit fine but my belly can no longer fit under my desk at work

I used this tutorial to make some cute paci clips for baby Hart. I am so proud of my semi straight lines!

Ahhhhhh!!!!! 9 Months!!!! You know that scene in Father of the Bride part 2 where Martin Short is doing the exercise with the women? Well I feel like being his character right now and coming over and doing the "baby out" exercise with you haha! And you did a great job on the pacifier clips for baby Hart! Now, open an Etsy shop and have them for sale when it is time for baby Bracco ;)

So funny the things we get excited about at the end of our pregnancies. :) Like.. soft cervix, being dialated, effaced. :)
I've loved hearing your story and know it's just beginning!
At the end I wished I could have a small child holding my belly up for me. Maybe you could rent one. :)

29 pounds? How, how?! I gained 50 with Isaac and 60 with Eli. And I really didn't change my eating habits other then adding more protein and veggies. But somehow, I couldn't keep my weight down. I am amazed at you ladies who can stay within the 25-35 lb. bracket!

I was infected with genital herpes in 2019 and I have been on the quest for a cure right from the day I discovered I had the virus. In October last year, I stumbled upon a post on the internet where I copied the email of a man named Kham care giver who provides herbal solutions to diseases. I contacted him and got to an agreement with him and he sent me herbal remedy through the united parcel service alongside instructions on how to use it. To my greatest surprise, I got cured after two weeks of using the remedy as assured by the Kham care giver. I decided to share this because I know that there are lots of people out there that need help. contact the doctor via dr.khamcaregiver@gmail.com  .........https://herbalistdrkhamcaregiver.simdif.com/
