Lucy 9 months

Oye. Taking pictures of this lady bean was quite interesting. My mom was over and we got some cute ones and I realized we didn't have the sticker on, ack! She does NOT want to sit still and is crawling now! Life is going to get crazy! I can't believe our Lucy girl is 9 months old. She is oozing with joy and such a light in our lives. She has started to develop such a cute and sassy personality. We couldn't get her out of church last week because she was waving at everyone. She is a social butterfly and sweet as can be. Below you will find a few of the 100 photos I took, even some non smiling ones... gasp. We love this little girl so much it hurts!

  • 17lbs 5oz (35th %), 27.25" (35th%), head 45.4cm (88th %)
  • Lady had her first fever this week, boo. She was still a super happy girl but just more calm and cuddly which was shocking because she literally never stops moving. We had her well check this afternoon and doctor thought it was viral. She has slept a lot over the past 2 days and is now officially fever free!
  • Her well check was great, she was happy and very curious. She had a heel prick and is not anemic. I hope the next time we go is her 12 month well check, fingers crossed.
  • Lucy is officially crawling! She had been doing 3-4 crawls for about 2 weeks and now is on the move. For the most part she stays contained where she is supposed to be but I know that will change soon. She crawls to get her toys and towards Ford, me, Jon, Ernie, etc.
  • A big month for food! She is finally getting it! She eats 3 meals a day and snacks when Ford gets them. Her favorites are purred carrots, sweet potatoes, and pumpkin, applesauce, grilled cheese, cheese cubes, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, meat loaf, French fries (don't judge), cheerios, yogurt melts, puffs.
  • No teeth yet but I do see progress on the two bottom teeth. I am in no rush for her to get teeth, girlfriend bit me last week and DANG, that hurt.
  • In the past 2 weeks I've noticed how much more table food she's eating and how much less she is nursing. She is only nursing 4 times a day and gets a formula bottle every other day. She had been taking 6oz but this past week only 4oz and I think that is definitely because she's eating real food. She can hold her own bottle now, big girl! She also drinks a sippy cup full of water throughout the day. I plan on giving her whole milk in a month or so, just like Ford.
  • She loves her Iron supplement and gets excited when I give it to her in the mornings...unlike Ford who I had to give up and stop giving it to him because it was like herding cats.
  • Her hair is getting so thick and long, it is really sweet. I am using more hair clips vs. headbands to keep her bangs out of her eyes. I can't wait for her first pony tail!
  • She's wearing 9 month clothes and still has the tiniest feet ever (wearing newborn or size 1 shoes).
  • Cloth diapered during the day, size 3 disposable at night
  • Bedtime at 7p  and sleeps 12 hours.. She takes two naps, morning around 830a and 130pm. She's a pretty good napper but has learned to stand in her crib so once she does that, shes awake.
  • Waving, clapping, saying bye bye. She is so social! We usually go grocery shopping on Tuesdays when Ford is in preschool and no less than 10 people come up and talk to her when we are there. She loves attention and loves being noticed/talked to/center of attention.
  • She loves to zoom around in her little walker, it took her about a day to figure out. She doesn't go in her exersaucer or jumperoo much anymore and prefers standing at her activity table. She loves all sorts of balls, especially these two small basketballs we have upstairs.
  • She loves saying "da da" and will call Jon when she sees him. She has found her voice this month and lots of baby babble. She is especially loud and talkative in the car in her car seat.
  • She gets SO excited coming down the stairs when she wakes up or after her naps and we look at all of the pictures on our gallery wall. She squeals and clenches her body when we talk about everyone.
  • She does the same thing when she sees the bath and that we are going to put her in it. Girlfriend loves baths!
  • Lucy is still gaga over Ford and happiness comes over her whole body when she sees him. She loves playing peek a boo with him and when he tickles her.
  • Crawls over to things and stands up and can go back to sitting down.
  • She hates laying on her back when we change her diaper... she HAS to be holding something or else she goes insane squirming and screaming.
  • She is showing a lot of sass this month... if Ford takes a toy or she needs another bite, she angrily lets you know. Miss Independent

Ruthie,

I started following your blog after I saw on you and your hubby on HGTV. This is my first comment.

I love the way your blog radiates happiness and joy; it is truly a delight to read and I love the pics you post. You're a very talented photographer!

It is also delightful to read about a young lady who is so completely committed to her family and their well being. I don't doubt your hubby feels that "her price is far beyond rubies..."

I love to cook and love your recipes! I'm going to try the "Sweet and Sour" chicken as well as the 'Fried Rice'... YUMMY!

Continued blessings to you and your adorable family!

Luv

These are really lovely looking clicks. You can choose a professional worker from helper agency singapore. They are a very good service provider. You can hire them for any household works.
