Have you missed this sweet little pumpkin?
Embry is now 1 month old and a healthy, active little girl. No lie, this baby is reaching for things, grasping toys, and focusing on colors in her play gym. We may have a baby prodigy on our hands. In every video my sister sends us, she is moving and shaking...I am thinking dancing may be in her future?
Today I wanted to share something really special with you. Jon and I are not only Embry's uncle and aunt, but we are her godparents. My sister and her husband asked us a few weeks ago if we would be her guardians and God parents. Besides being asked by my husband to marry him, this was one of the best questions I have been ask. Absolutely. What an honor and a blessing. From the moment we were asked, I knew I would take this special task seriously. It is my responsibility to teach her about Jesus Christ and ensure her knowledge, understanding, and belief in the gospel. Being a godparent is not just a title to throw around or something that ends at her baptism, it is my duty to walk before her as a woman of faith and an example of a Christ honoring wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Your prayers are coveted and appreciated!
