#instavisit

Last weekend our cousin Claire came to visit all the way from Seattle and it was an absolute blast! I call her my cousin because we are indeed related but it in a funny way. We still haven't figured out our relational title but her grandma is my great grandma's cousin. Anyone know what that makes us? Anyway, both of my sisters came in town to hang with us and we had an absolute blast showing her around Austin, loving on the babies, eating Mexican food, and totally vegging out. I made it a point to bring my nice camera out and about with us but of course it stayed in the car and everything was captured via Instagram

Mt Bonnell in Austin, TX

Ford loves his auntie Claire!

Cori and Embry also came in town so of course we got lots of adorable pictures of the cousins. Search the hashtag #EmbryandFord on instagram to follow these cuties!

One of my favorite pictures...

What a ham! His aunts sure do make him happy

Jon and I have now put Seattle on our to visit list!

Ruthie, it was so wonderful to see you and your sweet family, even if we technically don't know how we are related! Thank you for taking me in (and dealing with my flight mishap haha) and showing me all around Austin! I can't wait to come back and see how Ford has grown! Austin was great! XOXO

I was trying to figure this kind of thing out in my family and used this chart. I think y'all are second cousins once removed

http://genealogy.about.com/library/nrelationshipchart.htm

I went off your great grandmother and her grandmother having the same grandmother so you're column 5 (your great great grandma) and she's row 4 (her great grandma).

Don't ask me why I find this interesting and insisted on trying to figure this out for you :).

All these pics of Embry & Ford remind me of me and my cousin Ben. I'm 10 months older than him and we were best buds growing up! It's such a special bond! :)

Even though we have no idea how we are related, it was great to see you and your adorable family, Ruthie! I appreciate you accepting me, dealing with my travel snafu, and showing me around Austin. I'm excited to return and follow Ford's progress. Austin was fantastic.
