4th of July

Jon, Ernie and I spent Saturday-Monday at my parents lakehouse about an hour away from home. The Texas sun was out in full force (100+ everyday for the past couple of weeks) which has caused burn bans around the state (aka no fireworks). Here are some photos from this weekend...

I kept seeing these adorable festive strawberries on Pinterest and decided to make them myself. FYI they are super easy!

Ernie on the waverunner! Once we get him a lifejacket I'd love to actually take him on a ride.

He was a little fish this weekend. The zero depth beach is perfect for him and we were so surprised when he actually swam out to me in the water.

Hope you all had a great 4th of July!

What a shame no fireworks.

At least you discovered your pooch will swim to you. I wonder if my dog can swim???

You guys looked like you had the best Fourth of July! I wish either of my parents had a lake house or a beach house to go to. That must be really awesome to visit. The weather in NY has been very hot too, but not as warm as Texas. Stay cool :)

I love your decked out pooch! Too cute! Was he a good sport about it? Looks like a little sweetheart. My pups go ballistic when I try to put the doggie batman suit on them!
