Halloween 2012

I didn't take many pictures on actual Halloween, a few instagrams and then Jon took some of our house but the evening was spent sitting in redneck lawnchairs in our front yard catering to the adorable trick or treaters in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood has more kids than the number of people in the state of Montana (no stats, just a guess) so I knew it would be a fun night. Instead of making the garage a haunted house, we set up our front porch with lots of jack-o-lanterns, skeletons, spiders, black lights, spotlights, a fog machine zombie and even had a speaker with Halloween music. Yep we are those weirdos without kids who were dying for kids to come trick or treat. We got our first trick or treaters at 5:30 and it tapered off a little after 8 (thank goodness because we ran out of candy, I still can't believe that).

My Halloween #ootd at work. I thought it would have been hilarious to wear my actual costume from last weekend but then realized no one else would be dressed up

Yes we got married 2 years ago and yes we still have leftover bubbles so I decided to hand those out along with candy. Seriously the kids acted like they'd never seen bubbles before, huge hit!

Jon getting Roy, our awesome skeleton dude, ready for the night

..........and drum roll please.....our little shark............

Ernie was such a trooper and stayed outside on his leash and in his costume the whole night with us. The kids went crazy over him (and adults too). Single guys, if you are reading this (which I am sure you are not)...Frenchies are total chick magnets!! Ernie did bark at two dads who were dressed up, one as a scary Zombie and the other in a black mask. I will vouch for chunky and say they were indeed scary.

Jon went picture crazy after we called it a night and here are a few. I am mad I took down the Halloween wreath before he took pictures and we put up a sign saying we were out of candy so no one would ring the doorbell haha.

This is the zombie guy we bought to go over the fog machine, he was a hit!

Check out our chunk-o-lantern on the left. We entered a contest on Facebook and won $50 for it!

I absolutely loved seeing everyone's posts and pictures on Facebook  yesterday with their kiddos cute costumes. My favorite costume of the night was a little boy, probably 8 or so, dressed as Psy, aka "Gangam Style". He even carried around an iPod docking station with the song blasting and kept doing the dance. Hilarious!

Happy Friday and happy weekend, y'all.

Ernie as a shark somehow I think he's a teddy bear but being vicious man eater for one night I can live with! Ian had so much fun trick or treating. He would have loved coming to your house. He was really into the scary decorating this year.

Ernie looks so cute!! And he looks so calm and relaxed in his costume! My dog used to freak out when we put anything on her. She would either start doing backflips to get it off or just hunch over and look at you with these pitiful eyes until you took it off. Love all the pics!
