22 weeks

Thoughts: In the past week I've rocked a bikini (hence the sunburned belly), volunteered at church for 5 hours, pulled weeds and worked around my parents lakehouse, and even seen my tummy move! I love this belly and really enjoying being pregnant.

Baby: he is about the size of a spaghetti squash and 1lb!

Symptoms: 1/2 a Zofran pill at night and sometimes in the morning (I hate saying this but I feel like I am regressing with this whole morning sickness/all the time sickness thing). My back has been super sore lately and I think it's because of my posture. I am trying to figure out the best way to sit/stand to offset the weight gain in the tummy.

Weight: gained 15lbs

Movement: all.the.time! Like I said above, we can now see him kick from the outside which is the coolest thing. He gets really active when I lay down to go to bed and I feel like I am on a roller coaster. The kicks are HARD and take me by surprise when my whole body is relaxed.

Sleep: ehhhh....hard to get uninterrupted sleep without moving from one side to the other, getting up to pee, or baby kicks.

Cravings/aversions/eating: craving watermelon, pineapple, grapes and other watery fruits. And sweets of course :)

Workouts: slower this week...walking outside and on the treadmill but I get out of breath pretty easily. I have pretty much halved the weight I do when doing free weights because I just feel weaker but I feel so good working out.

Clothes: loving maternity skinny jeans, capris, and leggings this week. I have a few pair of shorts I plan on trying in the next couple of days. I mentioned I wore a bikini last weekend and the belly fit but I was quite voluptuous up top. We'll see how the whole stretch mark situation goes and if I stay in a 2 piece or not (I did buy a maternity tankini for our trip in June).

Random: well I am unmistakably pregnant and have gotten some funny comments/questions. At the gym yesterday I saw an older man (prob 65-70) I had met before but hadn't seen in a while who pointed to my tummy and said, "so what do we got going on there?". I've also been asked if it is twins since it's getting so big haha.

I've gotten a few matching shirts for Jon and baby and I think Ernie is jealous!
I can't wait to get them matching swim trunks for next summer :-)

We were given the shoes that one of our ring bearers wore at our wedding so baby Hart can wear them some day. We actually had 3 ring bearers (brothers I used to nanny for in college) and the littlest one turned 1 on our wedding day...

Unfortunately, my nausea started to come back more right at 22 weeks too :( Hang in there! I'm 33 weeks today and still taking my meds too. Also getting the "Are you sure there isn't 2 in there??" comments! Ha ha ha

Aww so precious! I loved feeling Evelynne kick when she was inside of me.. It was so comforting. Watermelon was my biggest craving! I could easily eat a whole one.. I bet you rocked that bikini girl! I hear "Stretch marks" are caused by itching your stomach while it's stretching.. I received that info a bit too late in my pregnancy =/

I CRAVED pineapple when I was pregnant! I ate so much of it the acid in it broke my mouth out in ulcers! I can't even look at a pineapple right now :( You look amazing, Ruthie!!!!! That glow on you is stunning!

Looking great Ruthie (as always)! I can't believe that your son is already the size of a spaghetti sqaush - that's so big already. How very exciting to be able to see him moving inside of you also - that's got to be something to see. Always reminds me of that Malteser candy commercial that the pregnant lady has a chocolate on her belly, and the baby kicks it off.

How are you this far along already?! I really need to start looking into flights to get my butt out there! You look fantastic, and I'm glad you don't have to take as much zofran. Also, I'm so jealous of the time you're spending at the lake house. It's "warm" today at 45 lol.
