We spent the day at my parents house with plans of a pool day and brunch but the rain was wild. One minute it was a torrential down pour and the next it was sunny. Ford wasn't too happy about the rain ruining our day. I love living in the same city as my parents and getting to see them so often, it is a huge blessing! Cori, Jacob, and Embry were in town from Dallas and the kiddos had fun playing in the rain. Ford and Lucy had their first bath together on Father's Day (picture at the bottom) and I may have cried watching how smitten they are with one other. Being a parent is pretty much the best.

Our Father's Day
We spent last week in New Orleans (post here) so I am a little behind on blog updates but better late than never. I loved celebrating my husband and dad last Sunday, two incredible fathers that I would love Ford to model one day. Jon is such a hands on daddy- diapers, baths, bottles, middle of the night wake ups, baby wearing, fort building, he is there. How do I survive with 2 under 2? My husband is the answer. He loves me fierce and points us to Jesus. He cheers me on when I have crazy ideas and appreciates the work I do as a stay at home mama. Parenthood is crazy and fun with Jon and I love *almost* every bit of it.

I mean. Like. I literally can not even handle all the cuteness in this post! Embry is so sweet when Ford was crying in the rain (That pic is priceless, by the way!). And that last bathtub pic? OMG. Adorbs! My girls are 18 months apart (now 2 and 8 months). It's been sooooo fun watching them grow together and love each other. It's been hard as heck, too, but it's been a beautiful journey and I wouldn't change a thing. You have a beautiful family, Ruthie. :)
Oh Ford, I feel the same way about rain as you do.
Oh the rain! Poor boy. And I secretly love that you busted out the camera to capture his moment. Real life at its finest.
