Fashion Friday

Happy Friday y'all! I posted earlier this week about scoring some major deals at Plato's Closet...be sure to check it out here. I will say it again, I don't consider myself fashion forward in any way but I love clothes! With a little push from a girlfriend and the help of my make shift photographer hubby, I have been working on my first fashion post! Below you will find a weeks worth of outfits, starting with last Friday. I am lucky enough to work for a laid-back start up who allows jeans, shorts, flip flops, etc (I will admit there have been a few times where I've stayed in my gym clothes post lunch workout hehe).

Hawaiian dress Friday! I work with men (only 2 other gals in the office) and Friday's have become Hawaiian shirt Friday so I thought I'd entertain them by wearing my best imitation Hawaiian shirt. It was also the perfect dress to eat Top Notch Burger in later that night :-)

Dress: Forever 21
Undershirt: Forever 21
Shoes: cantrememberthebrand from Marshalls
Gold watch: Fossil
Bird necklace: Forever 21

Saturday I dug through sale racks at Plato's closet, tried on some bridesmaids dresses and attended a dinner party in this "is that supposed to be a shirt" dress.

Dress: Forever 21
Flip flops: Target
Gold watch: Fossil

Don't worry kiddos, I did NOT wear this dress to church :-). We spent the afternoon house hunting and going to some open houses (holy heat!) and ended the day with a dinner date at The Tavern.

Dress: Forever 21
Flip flops: Target
Silver watch: Fossil
Necklace: Etsy (it is monogrammed with an "H" and our wedding date)

Ugh back to work!

Dress: Target
Flip flops: Target
Silver watch: Fossil
Bangle: Charmin' Charlies
Rat's nest hair: my super comfortable bed/a case of the Mondays

Just another day at work...

Dress: Forever 21
Flats: American Eagle
Silver watch: Fossil
Necklace: kiosk in the mall where everything is $5

Worked from home today and hosted a girl's dinner at night.

T-shirt: complements of Teresa Guidice from RHONJ, Christmas gift from my lil sis
Black capri sweats: Target and I must say, I do wear these to work sometimes!
Silver watch: Fossil
Silver bangle: Brighton
Skull/rose earrings: Charming Charlies

Back to work!

Dress: an open area market in Bangkok (I probably spent a whopping $4 on it)
Wedges: Steve Madden
Gold watch: Fossil
Gold earrings: Forever 21

And that wraps up my first fashion week (I would probably get red paint thrown on me at the real fashion week in NYC for wearing Forever 21!). I am rarely ever seen without a watch (or wearing jeans) and I have a new obsession with Fossil....

I hope you all enjoyed a look into my closet, until next time...

Happy 4th of July weekend!

Cute collection! That beige Old Navy dress would be perfect for Hawaiian shirt Friday if it wasn't for the top. I'm sure it'd be fine with a little cardigan, I love the vintage-y Hawaiian prints

Only I would pick the one you got in Bangkok to obsess over. All of them are beautiful, but that dress is magnificent. Great collection.

Hawaiian dress friday is a cute idea :) I love all of your dresses and especially the "happy wife happy life" tee.

Also, that watch is to die for.

Excellent fashion post! I love that you love fashion, but are quick to admit that others would laugh at where clothing comes from...I am the SAME way! I just love finding deals (forever 21, goodwill, plato's)!
