I am not the biggest fan of bacon but my mouth was watering when I came across this recipe. I made it for a dinner party and people were literally licking the inside of the bowl to get the last few morsels. It was THAT good! I kind of forgot to take pictures until the last second so they aren't great but listen to me friends...go out and make this recipe ASAP!
Ingredients
1 loaf Kings Hawaiian bread
1/2 cup bacon or 2 small pouches of cooked bacon (found in the salad aisle, I believe they were each 2.5oz)
2 cups shredded cheese (I did 1 cup cheddar, 1 cup Mexican blend)
1 cup onions
1/2 cup shaker Parmesan cheese
1 cup mayo
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. Cut a circle in the loaf of bread and clean it out like you would a soup breadbowl. Save the inside because you will use those to dip (leave the bread in the aluminum pan it comes in!)
3. In a medium size bowl, mix mayo, onions, both cheeses, and bacon and pour into the center of the bread bowl.
4. Cover the loaf with aluminum foil and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 20-30 minutes
