Monday this and that

Today doesn't really feel like a Monday....I mean yes it did suck setting my alarm last night but the fact that I have to work 2 days then get Wednesday off...it will definitely get me through today. Yes it kind of sucks to have a Wednesday off rather than Monday or Friday but it will be nice.

It's hard to believe it's already July. I have a whole new set of awesome sponsors on my right sidebar and have lots of fun stuff and giveaways coming up. Be sure to check those ladies out :-).

We dog sat my parents dog and "teen" sat for my brother this weekend so it was nice to have some time away from all the house projects and relax at their house. Thank you for all the comments and suggestions on what we should do with the 3rd canvas. I am so happy what we ended up painting...

We spent a little time working on our guest bedroom and it looks fabulous! I can't wait to show y'all what we did...be checking Instagram :-)

Saturday we went to a Olympic games/pool party at one of my coworkers house (who happens to live a mile from us). The backyard was an oasis and he busted out the restaurant grade margarita machine. Between badminton, pool volleyball, croquet, and pool jumping...Jon took 2 golds and I took a gold and a bronze. We make one heck of a badminton team and I am considering getting a net for our backyard.

8 hour at the pool and we were ready to relax the rest of the weekend. Jon rented scary movies with my brother and his friends (& I continued my obsession with Pretty Little Liars). Sunday morning we heard the internet pastor of our church speak on campus and it was a great change. He talked about pain and this ast with me..."True strength is only found in the deepest corner of weakness."

We spent the rest of the day in PJs, watching movies (21 Jumpstreet for the 2nd time), eating pizza, and laying around. We ended the lazy Sunday with froyo

Jon also laughed when I busted out my Costco Connection magazine...

In other news, I am ready for a newborn.

Okay not really but my parents (and mine) dog, Kelli, is getting up there in age and is quite the crazy old lady. I took her out at 11pm...then 1am...then 4am...then 6am...and finally up at 7am. They have a door to the backyard in their room and she would nudge at the wood blinds until I let her out. She was even so kind to take her sweet little time outside and I had to go grab her. Love my little fur sister but she's a nut!

If you missed my posts this weekend, be sure to check them out. Saturday I posted about Operation Smile and the work they do with underpriviledged children who are born with cleft pallettes. If you are a college student, please read how you can help!

Yesterday I posted a delicious recipe for 115 calorie brownies. Yes you heard that right. Recipe here.

Do you have a short week too?

I love love love the Texas one!!!! SO CUTE!!!!! I wish I had the talent to make on of these prints myself. I have the perfect spot in the hallway for one...maybe I'll wait until the baby is born and do one of the baby? And how fun were the Olympics y'all participated in?!?! I wish I lived in Austin.

I love how the 3rd canvas turned out! It could not be any more perfect! And the Olympic party is such a fun idea! At least the temps this weekend weren't 100 degrees! We could actually sit outside and not sweat our booties off! Have a great week!

Happy Monday! Sounds like a fabulous weekend, Ruthie! I would KILL for a pool right now...I am really missing the warmer summer weather...we don't have ANY here in Seattle, but on the other hand it's like permanent air conditioning. This week is supposed to be in the 70's and I am super excited for sunshine!!

Love that you decided on Texas as a third! And why did your puppy sister keep waking uP so much?! Fortunately we don't have to do that with Louie since he's house broken and crate trained :-) hope you're enjoying your Monday!

love the canvases AND I love Pretty Little Liars - are you doing the books or the show? Either way - both are amazing, yet different.

We have a volleyball net for our pool in which i am sure some battling will go on Wednesday. Sure is a great way to beat the heat.
