Laboring (or lack thereof)

There was definitely not a lot of laboring going on this weekend. It was a much needed weekend of rest and relaxation considering in a 9 day span, I had spent about 24 hours at my home. We went to my parents lakehouse on Friday afternoon and got home about 5:30p last night. I slept in, snoozed on the boat, read a book in the sand, and honestly didn't think once about work or what this week had to bring. Even last night when I was making my grocery list, I vowed to go into this week relaxed (I haven't been physically into my work office since Friday Aug 24th so that is kinda stressful).

It doesn't get much better than this

My mom, the dog lady
 Ernie with his uncle James

I actually brought my big camera to the lake but didn't take one picture. Something about being there makes me not want to use gadgets or technology...pure relaxation. I did manage to get some cute instagrams...mostly of my furry chunky baby

He had quite the weekend with his doggie cousin and a few other furry friends. But Monday, he was exhausted and wanted to sit in his own chair in the shade (he did want to sit on my lap though)

From the time we left until this morning, he was OUT. We had to force feed him dinner last night (because he was too busy with friends at the lakehouse to eat breakfast) and he slept straight through the night.

I think my mom got some cute pictures with her big camera so I am hoping to see those soon. I got exactly what I needed out of this weekend and am looking forward to being home for the next couple of weeks. It's crazy to think it was the last time my family will be together until after my niece is born! Jon and I are going up to Dallas in 2 weeks to see my sister before the baby, but still. Crazy. Cori and I made bows, headbands and hair accessories, this little lady will be decked out. I hope you got to take some time off from laboring :-)

(and I have got to say, 4 days without makeup rocks!)

Ernie in that chair is just TOO cute. We have to force Floyd to eat on big weekends too. He either is having too much fun or just falls asleep and forgets to eat.

I hear you on the enjoyment of no make up! Yesterday we went to a local Casino/Hotel Pool party for labor day and I was floored at the stupidity (well I think it's stupid) of how many girls had FULL ON Hair and make up and huge dangly earrings in the pool. Seriously? haha...

Sounds like a great and relaxing weekend! Yeah, I can see why you didn't take pictures though. So much more fun to just swim and sit in the sun :) Hope you're having a good week!
