Sprinkle

I still can't believe that I am nearing the end of my second pregnancy. 8 weeks from today this little lady is busting out. I mean, wasn't I just walking the aisles of Costco a week overdue trying to get Ford to make his appearance? My kiddos will be close in age and I am not in need of many baby products so my mom and sister threw me a baby sprinkle, instead of a shower. Baby showers aren't too common for 2nd kiddos but since I'm having the opposite gender it was a fun excuse to get all my friends together and get girly gifts for Lucy (I know it's popular to have a diaper party for a second baby of the same gender... all mamas to be need to be celebrated!). An ice storm blew into Austin this weekend so it wasn't the best weather but it was the perfect morning. I sat in shock most of the shower wondering how the heck I was at my baby sprinkle for my second baby?! It's still very surreal to see pink jammies in the wash and glance into Lucy's nursery...are we really having a little girl? I got the most adorable outfits, swimsuits, shoes, pink cloth diapers, bows, and more! It was a lot more fun opening gifts at my sprinkle than my first shower, because let's face it, who can really get excited about breast pads and swaddle blankets. Lucy is such a loved little girl, I am so blessed that I have so many friends and family who love my babies so, so much.

I spent Saturday afternoon organizing baby clothes and gifts and Jon hung some final pieces on the walls of the nursery. Ford has so much fun helping us with tools, he thinks he is quite the stud. I really think the nursery is close to done! I can't wait to show you guys!

In case you missed it, I shared my baby #2 wishlist here.
