The second we made an offer on our current house a few months ago, I started brainstorming ideas for "my room". We decided it would be a waste to have a formal living room when we have a family room and gameroom so it is now my crafting/blogging/whatever I please space. I loved the vintage feel of craft rooms on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make and hang buntings. I wish I would have stuck with sewing because I took a semester of it my senior year but I didn't. I've tried to go back to my machine a few times and it comes back pretty quickly but patience isn't something I am good at. So I wanted something no sew.
Supplies
Fabric- to be safe I got between 1/4 and 1/2 of a yard of a few different fabrics
Fabric scissors
Wonder Under
Iron
Grosgrain ribbon
Glue gun
I printed out this free bunting template from Chickabug and decided to use the largest sized triangle for my bunting.
The tracing and cutting of the fabric triangles is pretty tedious but throw on Real Housewives and get to work. Trace on the wrong side of the fabric and be sure to use sharp fabric only scissors for clean lines. For each bunting triangle, cut out two fabric triangles.
Now do the same thing but tracing on the Wonder Under. You only need 1 Wonder Under triangle for every bunting triangle since it is the Wonder Under that will attach the two fabric triangles.
Now comes the fun (ish) part. Heat up your iron and follow the Wonder Under instructions to attach one of the triangles and to the Wonder Under. Make sure you are ironing the Wonder Under to the inside of the fabric. Do this for half of the fabric triangles. Once they are cool, iron on the other half of the triangles to the back of the Wonder Undered bunting triangle.
Trim off any excess fabric that didn't match up.
Next up, measure the window/mantle/wall you want to hang your bunting. Cut a large piece of grosgrain ribbon a little longer than you measured (size depends on how you want to hang it. If you want to tie bows at the end, make it extra long). Now lay out the pattern of bunting triangles you want along the piece of ribbon.
Hot glue half of the width of the ribbon to the very top of the bunting triangle. Fold the ribbon and glue the other half on top.

Oh gosh how I love a glue gun. I would use it on everything if I could. And this project is a must. A Christmas banner would be great for my fireplace maybe with stocking shapes.
