All natural doggie treats

I was at All In One Bake Shop a couple of weeks ago and found an this adorable dog bone shaped cookie cutter and immediately went home to google all natural treat recipes. We haven't given Ernie any treats up until now with the exception of the occasional carrot or black bean (beans do the same thing to dogs as they do to humans FYI!). I wanted something natural and simple and this recipe did the trick.

Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup milk
1/2 cup oatmeal
Small cookie cutter (mine is about 1.5 inches, maybe smaller)

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and lightly grease a cookie sheet
2. In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking powder and oatmeal. Once that’s mixed, add the peanut butter and milk. Stir it together until a dough forms.

3. Roll out the dough until it's about a 1/4″ thick. Press your bone shaped cookie cutter into the dough (this batch made about 140 small treats)

4. Bake those on the lightly greased baking pan and cook for about 15 minutes until they’re golden brown.

5. Be sure to let them cool before giving them to your pup!

Oh and I did try some of the treats, much to Jon's dismay. Hello it's not like I was eating kibbles N bits... I eat peanut butter, oats, milk, flour...duh! They tasted like crackers but very bland.
