We spent the whole weekend at my parent's lakehouse with my entire family and it was perfect. We drove up on Friday afternoon and stayed until Sunday afternoon and if I am going to be honest with you...I wore the same clothes the entire time. It was rainy and cold all weekend and the only time we left the house was to eat a big greasy fried catfish lunch. It was just what we needed!

Jon & I got a Texas license plate wall hanging for our wedding and my dad just got a Texas and Illinois one from his parents (the two states my parents have lived in together). I think they are so neat! We want to get an Ohio one for Jon since he lived 18 years there.

The pups all got big bones for "Christmas". This is my brother in law, Jacob, and Athena (who ate Ernie's bone in all of about 5 minutes haha)
My gramma is such a fabulous baker and I have been hanging on to this dishtowel for a while to give her. It is from World Market :-)

I learned the card game Hearts and I think I am obsessed! It was so much fun and Jon and I stayed up until 2am playing on my phone. Our family is such a game family and my grandparents always know lots of fun card games.
Sunday we came back and spent the afternoon relaxing. I basically covered my eyes (and ears) through the whole movie No Country For Old Men. I had seen it right when it came out 5 years ago but holy smokes it is intense. I am thinking I need to put a Disney movie in our Netflix queue for next time.
It was such a great weekend. So good that Ernie didn't want to get out of bed this morning

There's nothing like celebrating Christmas in March! And I think I've said this a trillion times, but I love your family! You all seem to have the best time together! I want to hang out at the Fanning Funhouse!
I'm so glad you had such a great weekend! M and I had a pretty low key weekend, and it was wonderful. Now it's back to the work week, and I'm already counting down until Friday. Unfortunately, M might be going back to Boston this weekend :( I do not like when he leaves!

I love weekends with family... Where the last thing on your mind is showering or what you're wearing. Ahhh, I want one of those weekends so bad!!

We could have been grease twins this weekend. I woke up and smelled myself today...no bueno! Haha, a shower never felt so good!
Ernie represents houw I felt this mornning! Love how, like you said, he sleeps with his eyes open. Time spent with family, creating memories and inside jokes, playing games and lounging is by far my favorite times!
I made it as far as Garrett's popcorn and then I had to run over and comment about OMG HOW GOOD IT IS. :)
