Husband hoarding

This weekend I was a hoarder of my husband. He got home about 630p on Friday night (with Ninfa's take out in hand... best part of him coming home is he always surprises me with food...guess its not a surprise anymore but he always gets different places and won't tell me) and I didn't want to leave his side for the next 48 hours. Obsessive much? Haha. We did get out and have lunch with friends on Saturday and church on Sunday but I was fully ready for a hermit husband weekend. He's all mine and who says I have to share him, right?! He even complied when I said we needed a selfie since he hadn't shown his face on Instagram lately.

I know I've talked about it on my blog before but I rarely laugh out loud at movies or shows. It baffles Jon because I can leave a movie theater and say that was the funniest thing ever, yet I didn't make a peep the whole time. But there are those few things that really get me going. We have discovered Betty White's Off Their Rockers and I swear I must burn 1000 calories watching the 30 minute episodes because I can't.stop.laughing. Have y'all seen it? Oh man... it kills me! I love old people... and I love pranks. It's also funny how being 6 years apart has really put us in different generations growing up... meaning we didn't watch the same movies. I love this because Jon has introduced me to so many great 80's movies that I just A. was too young to watch or B. grew up with sisters and watched lots of Disney/girlie movies. Some of my favorites he's shown me are Uncle Buck and Groundhog's Day and as of yesterday... Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I was just a mess of laughter, I love John Candy! Gosh and movies back in the day were so simple and genuinely funny (without having to use the F word every 3 words or tons of inappropriate sexual innuendos). We watched about 10 minutes of the Golden Globes and realized we really need to start seeing current movies, I just prefer waiting for Netflix than going to the theater. We meant to see Django this weekend but forgot.

OH... and I finally got around to organizing all my photos on Photobucket and poof... they disappeared from my blog. I've been working on getting them back up so please let me know if you find a page with missing pictures. Urgh.

One more funny thing. We were talking about pets this weekend and how I feel like we are a 1 dog family. If it weren't for Jon being highly allergic to cats, he would want some because he loves them, I just had a bad experience in college and despise them. He is also allergic to rodents (guinea pigs, hamsters) which is awesome because hello who didn't beg for a gross little rodent in about 3rd grade? I also said no amphibians or reptiles which Jon was bummed about because he loves lizards, iguanas, etc. One thing I will allow is fish. Before I met Jon he had a big tank of all sorts of cool fish and has a big interest in marine life (we always try to go to an aquarium when we go somewhere new). He and his dad shared this love. So Jon starts telling me about all these types of goldfish (who knew there were so many) and I about died when he showed me a picture and told me this goldfish has a great personality. WHAT?! It showed pictures of owners taking them out of their water and petting them and playing with them. I told Jon... FYI I am posting about this on the blog... the fact that you told me certain goldfish are known for their stellar personalities. Boy oh boy do I love my husband!!!!!!!!!!!

I am totally with Jon! I had a Beta fish named Manhattan Tinkerbell (Manny for short) and I kid you not, she had a CRAZY personality. She would follow me from side to side, she faked dead like 10 times, she would attack the glass, she literally was NUTS! RIP Manny, RIP.

awe too bad Jons allergic to cats, I swear cats have the BEST personalities and are so funny!!! They are great for that rodent problem. :) but that is classic, I never knew there were so many different types of goldfish or that they had personalities!!

&& Yes you should go see Django!! It was good but its LONG!! & I agree, some of the movies they were talking about on the golden globes I have never heard of...

Happy Monday!

I am the complete opposite of you when it comes to laughing at movies and shows! I embarrassed myself so bad when I went to see Bridesmaids in the theater. The scene where she is trying to get the cop's attention and bumps his car with hers, I could not stop laughing. Everyone else in the theater stopped and I was the only one. I could not control myself!

omg! I'm cracking up. I can just imagine this conversation happening... You being like "uh fish have personalities?" and Jon being completely serious about it. I still crack up about him asking which kind of shark would you rather be eaten by... haha

Do you remember my old radioactive giant goldfish named Swool?! He totally had a personality!! He let me pet him and he would beg for food like a dog. Ask Aunt Jamie- she loved him :)

Miss you guys, haboo!!

Good for hoarding him because when Baby Hart makes an appearance...that will all change. I will be waiting for that announcement one day soon...(hopefully). That is so funny about the goldfish having personality because I say the same thing about our little blue beta fish. My poor girls, fish are all we have. They are begging for a dog. :)

Love that you hoarded him. And I also think it's too funny about the fish. We have a fish, Mr. Draper. He's a very active guy, and sits by our sink.

Cats are awesome! I have three (as well as two dogs) and absolutely adore them. They have their own personalities, all three of them different. One of them is more the stereotypical personality - touchy, kind of evil. lol The second one is sweet and an airhead. Our boy kitty, Sam, is a total mama's boy. The sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever known.

We used to have fish several years ago. (Salt water fish. A couple tangs and I don't remember what else.) Some were more shy and skittish than the others, but I don't remember more than that about whatever personalities they may have had. We definitely never thought of petting them or cuddling with them. They were pretty to look at, but not as much fun as a cat or dog. We couldn't pet them or play with them or let them sleep with us. Haha. :-)
