We took these last night and Jon told me my belly doesn't look real... it is getting huge folks!
Thoughts: 8 weeks or less until we meet our baby boy! Where the heck did time go? As the weeks go by, I feel more and more mentally and emotionally prepared but then again, I can't even imagine how my life will change in an instant. I squeal watching the countdown on my phone tick by, knowing we could easily have him in 6 weeks!!!
Baby: Friday 6/7 baby Hart measured 4lbs 7oz in the 73rd percentile! His head is still measuring big which is totally normal and he has long femur bones which means he may be tall. He is getting pretty squished in my belly and head down (praying he stays that way!).
Weight: as of last Friday (31w4d), I had gained 25lbs total. I started out my pregnancy about 4-5lbs below my regular weight due to getting off BC so I am up about 20lbs from what I would call my normal pre pregnancy weight.
Symptoms: no sickness this week but had to pop a Zofran a few times so this is good news! Worst thing this week has been heart palpitations. Anyone have advice for maintaining them? My lower back aches when I am up and about for too long but my neighbor gave me a belly support band I am excited to try out!
Movement: research says baby should sleep 90% of the time but he moves all day long! I could tell he was sleeping on Sunday night and when I put the baby speakers on my belly and played Louis Armstrong, he instantly started kicking and punching. He is a big boy so I feel him a LOT (and it isn't always a pleasurable feeling haha).
Cravings/aversions/eating: I used my "sweets on special occassions this weekend" when we celebrated Embry's baptism and James' birthday. Man oh man did ice cream cake and cookie cake taste like heaven! Still eating lots of fruit and really enjoying eating those mini Babybel cheeses.
Workouts: last week I went to the gym once and did a long walk twice I think. My energy levels are drastically different depending on the day... Friday I had such a great weights workout and the day before I didn't even think twice about working out because I was exhausted. Lots of cute comments at the gym about my belly (mostly by senior citizens, love them!).
Sleep: falling asleep is no problem at all but after my nightly bathroom break (I only go once in the middle of the night!), I can't seem to fall asleep. Baby seems to love jabbing and flipping around during that time and I am wide awake. I have been trying to use eye covers which helps me relax and drift off quicker, but still not THAT quick. I just realized I haven't been napping lately... need to squeeze some afternoon naps in this week!
Clothes: mostly maternity but wearing some non maternity Forever 21 dresses as shirts lol!
Random: we are going on vacation this Friday and I couldn't be more excited!! I need a vacation so bad, both physically and mentally. This will be our last hurrah before baby comes, I am really looking forward to relaxing :).
Doctors appointments: we had our 31 week appointment last Friday (31w4d) and since Jon was traveling, my mom and sisters came with me! I passed another fasting blood sugar test which is awesome but they want me to continue not eating sugars and will test it again in 2 weeks. I asked lots of questions about the birth, labor, circumcision, etc. and feel really good about the weeks to come! We got to see our chunky little boy playing inside of me, hands by his face, and moving a lot.
It's crazy to look back to our 12 week sonogram and getting to see his whole body on the screen... now his face barely fits since he is so big! Event though we want him to stay cooking for a few more weeks, it is a relief to know he is a big boy and 100% viable outside the womb.

You might be the cutest preggo ever. I too was gigantic with my first boy, it got to a point when I couldn't even drive because I couldn't reach the steering wheel, I was all belly. Can't wait for you to meet your little man friend.

You look so awesome! My husband and I took a trip when I was 32 weeks pregnant and I went into early labor the next week! Play it safe and make sure to take it easy! Can't wait to see the little guy!
I envy the fact that you have no problem sleeping. I am so incredibly sleep deprived. :( Thankfully I found a position that doesn't cause me as much pain. Unfortunately, when I fall asleep I shift and I wake up in pain.
