Weekend via my iPhone

I've gotten better about taking pictures on the weekends, mostly realizing it gives me a great Monday blog post :-). We had a jam packed weekend and our lives are only going to get busier when we close on our house on Wednesday! Just two more sleeps!

Friday

Each time my company has a new product release, we have a celebration. This time we went to the Alamo Drafthouse (the original dinner and a movie theater) for lunch and open bar and watched 21 Jumpstreet. It was HYSTERICAL. Seriously it was so fun to listen to my coworkers belly laugh so hard. It was quite raunchy too haha. I love all these vintage play on word paintings they have at the Drafthouse. (this is where Jon and I saw the Anchorman Quote Along)

I really can't remember what else we did Friday because I went to bed at 10pm. We've been packing like maniacs so my body seriously shut down. It was awesome to wake up at 8am with 10 hours of sleep under my belt.

Saturday
I don't think we stopped moving until 11pm that night. Since this past weekend was the last before we have our new house, it was time to get serious about packing. Jon spent a good 2 hours cutting the front and back lawns and doing a few projects around the house (so we can get back our security deposit). I stayed inside and pretty much cleaned out the kitchen, my closet, bathroom, and family room. We sold a couch on Craigslist so our front room now looks like a warehouse. You would probably laugh to see how organized my boxes are. On the front I have exactly what is in each box. And I mean EXACTLY haha. It will make unpacking super low key and easy (and I am borderline OCD about this kind of stuff).

Speaking of OCD...would you be surprised if I told you I labeled my drawers? I have a tall plastic chest of drawers in my closet for socks, bras, tanks, undies, etc. I was getting tired of my hand written labels so I made these on Picnik...(yes I know I am weird)

I also got my hands dirty with a little craft I did with white cloth napkins...will definitely share more soon.

Saturday late afternoon I went to a Zumbathon with some of my small group girls to benefit ALS. We have a family friend whose family member has ALS so I know the severity of the disease and knew I wanted to participate. 2 hours of Zumba was EXHAUSTING. I can go strong for an hour but my body was mad at me after 2 hours of pop, locking, and dropping it. I came home and laid on the heating pad for 2 hours haha.

At the Zumbathon, I won a certificate for a free class at Inner Diva studios here in Austin. I can choose from an array of classes but they were hard advertising for these..

(hahahahhah)

Jon had one last man day at our house before we move and ended up going out to watch the Ohio State game (bummer they lost but the Baylor girls are still in it!). I love that Jon has man nights, he sure loves his buddies (and loves playing N64).

Sunday

We celebrated Palm Sunday at church yesterday morning and it was beautiful. Seriously there wasn't a cloud in the sky, yesterday was a masterpiece from God. I posted on Friday about the Good Friday Experience our church is hosting (even if you aren't in Austin, you should watch the video) and our church also has bible verses and reflections throughout Passion Week. Those can be found here. We are really looking forward to connecting with each other, our church family, and the Lord this week.

We went to my brother's club basketball tournament right after church and it was intense. We witnessed a huge fight on another court where players were up in the stand and then the team my brother was playing was playing so dirty! Pulling jerseys, pushing....there was definitely some yelling from the parent section. The tournament was in East Austin and we just had to take a picture of the car parked next to ours...

(The whole car was painted in this rainbow/sparkly paint haha)

Ball with Ernie

Some of the Easter cards we've gotten in the mail

Sunday evening we got the privilege to attend our next door neighbors birthday party. He is the sweetest little man ever, y'all wouldn't believe how well behaved he is! From baby sign language to pointing to his body parts in Chinese, he is so smart (can you tell we like him a LOT!?). His parents are truly servants of the Lord and so encouraging in our walk with faith, our marriage, and future as parents. We had been praying for the Lord to send us believers to become close to  and our prayers were answered with this family.

Jacob was Russell from Up and his daddy was Carl!! Check out that cake that was made by a friend who isn't a professional. Insane!

Jon made me quite a plate...a strawberry surrounded by meat, and some carrots hahah.

What did you guys do this weekend??

I love the UP themed party! Too darn cute! And your house does look like a warehouse, but that's only because you'll be MOVING so soon!

Oh my goodness, that UP theme is adorable for a party! Good luck getting packed up, having done it quite a few times I know how stressful/exhausting moving can be! But it will all be worth it when you're in your new home!! xoxo

Goodo for you doing the ALS Zumbathon! I do them every chance I get. My step-father died from that horrific disease, so I love hearing that people are raising more money.

Looks like a great weekend from the phone :)

Holy busy weekend, but I kind of like packing for some weird reason, like ultimate spring cleaning right! zumbathon sounds so fun and you will have to post a tutorial for those napkins!

I think I need some sparkles for our car, just not sure how Dave will react LOL. And that cake is AMAZING, I feel confident in my baking skills, but I don't think i could pull that off!
